What are the park hours?
The park, including the playground, is open to the public, after office hours, during events. This includes games and practices.
What are your office hours?
Is there a fee to play in the playground?
No, the playground is open at no cost, after office hours during games and practices. An admission fee at the ticket booth may apply if there is an event in session.
Is there an admission fee?
During most games there is an admission fee to enter the park. Children 5 and under are typically free, for everyone else the prices range from $3-$5 per person.
Are pets allowed on the walking track?
No pets are allowed on the walking path, no exceptions.
Are pets allowed in the park?
No pets are allowed at the park. Service animals are allowed with proper identification/issued paperwork.
Does Newton Park have sports teams?
No. We offer a place for teams to practice and play.
Who do I contact about a field rental?
All field rentals must be made with Kevin Christy.
What kinds of events are held at the park?
From March to October the park is busy, almost on a daily basis. Events include games and practices for baseball, soccer, football, and softball. Throughout the year we also offer events for the community including Newton Park Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th, and Graveyard Grab.
How long is the walking path?
The total distance of the walking path is approximately 5, 500ft. (1mile and 73yds).
Where do you park to use the walking path?
Walkers may park in the East or West parking lots of the Park or at the Newton Center.
Are coolers or food allowed in the park?
No outside food, drinks, or coolers are allowed in the park. Our concession is open during games. (Players may carry in sports drinks/water for their games.)
When do games and practices get canceled due to weather?
Most games and practices are canceled by the coaches throughout the day, and posted on our home page. If Newton Park must cancel games or practices, we will cancel them towards the end of our work day, and post them on our home page.
