2020 4th of July Details
Newton Park is planning to host our 15th annual 4th of July Fireworks Show!
2020 has been an atypical year for everyone, and our Fireworks Show is no exception. Our team at Newton Park is acutely aware of our responsibility to keep our community safe from COVID-19 and while we want to continue this event as normal, we cannot ignore the fact that the 4th of July this year falls right at the beginning of (what will hopefully be) Back on Track Phase 5. With that being said, Newton Park is striving to be socially responsible and not jump back into filling our fields with thousands of people. Instead, Newton Park is offering a unique and temporary (hopefully only this year!) option that can make our 4th of July Fireworks happen!
The biggest change to this celebration - again hopefully for only this year - there will not be a concert. However, Newton Park is allowing a limited number of spectators into our west parking lot for 4th of July Fireworks.
How are we doing this?
Like most businesses and organizations, Newton Park is financially finding our footing after being closed for an extended period of time due to COVID-19. Instead of allowing spectators in the facility for this year’s 4th of July Fireworks, Newton Park is going to "FLAG THE FIELD" (where people usually sit) with donated American Flags.
We are looking to the community to help us by purchasing a flag donation for $4 each. Each flag donation purchased is entered into a raffle for a Family of Five Pass to watch 4th of July Fireworks in Newton Park's parking lot. All proceeds will go towards 4th of July Fireworks at Newton Park.
Help Newton Park FLAG THE FIELD at newtonpark.org or visit one of our concession stands to help us continue this community tradition!
